    About 80 miles (130 km) east of London, Broadstairs is an Isle of Thanet town that is coastal in east Kent's Thanet district. With a population in 2011 of about 25,000, it is part of the St Peter's and Broadstairs parish, which includes St Peter's. One of Thanet's seaside areas, known as the "jewel in Thanet's crown", Broadstairs is between Margate and Ramsgate.
